Hui Chun Clinic - Home page

In Chinese, the term "Hui Chun" means "Returning to Spring" or "Recovering". Hui Chun Clinic was established in Hill Street, by Wei - Xiong Chen (Doctor and Consultant of Traditional Chinese Medicine) who was born in Guangdong, China and comes from a TCM family - his grandfather was a well known herbalist in the township of Xingning; his uncle practised TCM in China for 65 years; his father, a well known Chinese doctor, retired when he was 80 and his brother, who is renowned as an excellent practitioner, is well established in Hong Kong.

Steeped in the values of TCM in the well-being of people of all ages, Wei - Xiong became totally absorbed in this craft and began at the age of seven to help his father prepare herbal remedies. After completing his Secondary School Education, he was accepted by the Canton University of TCM to undertake a five year degree course to qualify as a doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine.

Being convinced of the benefits of TCM beyond the boundaries of China, he came to Scotland and established his practice in Glasgow. Through his success of treating recurring medical problems, he has built up a reputation as a caring, efficient, competent practitioner. Because of his skill and sucess, he has featured in various media such as: The Daily Record, The Evening Times, The Sunday Mail, The Sunday Post, The Herald, BBC Radio and STV and BBC1.

Wei - Xiong is registered with the British Acupuncture Council, the Association of TCM (UK), the Register of Chinese Herbal Medicine. Until April 2001, he was the only member of the Association of TCM (UK), in Scotland. He is a fellow member of the Association of Traditional Chinese Medicine(UK). He is a visiting professor of Fujian University of TCM.

There is no communication (which is very important) problem between the practitioner and the patients as Wei - Xiong speaks fluent English.
